Declarations

As a NHS Trust, we are required to make certain declarations and to make this information available for members of the public.

Declarations of interest, gifts and hospitality

Providing best value for taxpayers and ensuring that decisions are taken transparently and clearly, are both key principles in the NHS Constitution. We are committed to maximising our resources for the benefit of the whole community. As an organisation and as individuals, we have a duty to ensure that all our dealings are conducted to the highest standards of integrity and that NHS monies are used wisely so that we are using our finite resources in the best interests of patients.

The Declarations of Interests Register enables all staff to be as open as possible and declare any actual or potential conflict of interest. It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure that they are not placed in a position which risks, or appears to risk, conflict between their private interests and their NHS duties.
