Royal Wolverhampton Trust Foundation Doctor Programme

Foundation LATS & Clinical Fellows

Gaps in the rota have become commonplace in the NHS as demand for doctors continues to outstrip supply. Due to the popularity of RWT as an excellent supportive environment for doctors in training, we are very lucky to have relatively few gaps. Occasionally we will have one or two LATS, often doctors outside the training program from abroad who want to work towards their foundation competencies to allow them to apply for core training. We are happy to support these doctors as we do those in the training scheme. You will have the same access to the Horus eportfolio to record your achievements and competencies, you will be clinically and educationally supervised and able to attend the foundation teaching. We want to help support you towards the next step of your career. You will be welcome and are strongly recommended to come for a longer period of shadowing before taking up your post to help you adjust to the UK system and local IT.

We also have close links to the University of Wolverhampton and many of our Clinical Fellows work towards additional qualifications while in post.
