Wolverhampton Maternity Voices Partnership

About us

Welcome to Wolverhampton’s Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP). The MVP is a forum that meets quarterly and consists of professionals involved in the provision of maternity care / services. The MVP is jointly  maintained by  Wolverhampton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT).

The MVP aims to engage parents in the development and improvement of Wolverhampton’s maternity services, representing the views of Wolverhampton and Staffordshire residents.

Our mission is to ensure the best quality maternity service is available to the all the women who access maternity services in Wolverhampton, by using the diverse skills of the MVP forum to influence the planning, development and promotion of the service.

The vision of the MVP is the effective engagement of parents in the development of maternity education provision, policy and a ‘beacon-standard’ maternity service in Wolverhampton which provides exemplary care for the families it serves, through effective partnership working and the involvement of multi-disciplinary partners.

See the Maternity Voices Partnerships (MVPs) in the healthcare system in England flowchart (PDF, 580Kb) for details of where the MVP is located in the health and social care system.

What does the MVP not do?

Although we value input from women and their partners who are using, or have recently used, Wolverhampton’s maternity services, we do not deal with queries from individuals about their personal care or handle complaints.

If you have questions about your maternity care, you can speak to your midwife or health visitor.

If you wish to make a compliment, suggestion or complaint about your care, contact The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s  Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team
