Maltings Mobility Centre

The Amputee Rehabilitation Service is located on this site.

The site offers free parking to its visitors and disabled parking spaces. There is a canopy at the front entrance to the building and it is possible to drop off visitors at the entrance before parking.

Facilities

• Refreshments
  Refreshments are available on site. Water is provided for free, while tea and coffee are available at a cost of 40 pence. Snacks are not available on site
  
  
• Toileting Facilities
  There is a disabled toilet and a glide-about-commode. We can also supply urinal bottles. Assistance can be provided to use the toilet if required
  
  

• Hoist Facilities
  We are able to hoist you at your assessment. We have a mobile hoist on site, which is compatible with Arjo and Oxford makes of slings. If possible we recommend coming to your assessment with your sling. However we do have a range of slings on site if they are required. 

  
  
• Weighing Facilities
  We have scales attached to our hoist
  
  

Hospital Transport

We are unable to organise Hospital Transport to attend appointments.

If you think you are eligible for hospital transport then please contact the appropriate provider, as follows:

We recommend that hospital transport is used for morning appointments and Doctors’ appointments at/before 1:30pm only, as there can be a delay after your appointment, before transport can collect you.

Therefore if you need to use Hospital Transport and have been offered an afternoon appointment, please contact our reception on 01902 444041 to change your appointment time accordingly.
