Infant Feeding Team

Who we are, what we do and how to contact us

All midwives, Health Visitors and support staff are trained to provide breastfeeding support. Some pregnant women and new mothers may require specialist breastfeeding support – if so, your midwife or health visitor will make a referral for you.

Amanda Costello
Infant Feeding Co-ordinator - Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust

Amanda is one of the Specialist Midwives for Infant Feeding, manager of the Infant Feeding Team and supports the implementation of the Baby Friendly Initiative standards. Amanda is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Specialist Midwife for Infant Feeding - Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust

Sam is one of the Specialist Midwives for Infant Feeding and co-ordinates the implementation of the Baby Friendly Initiative standards. Sam is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Diana West
Breastfeeding Peer Support and Community Engagement Coordinator - Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust

Diana manages a network of volunteer Breastfeeding Peer Supporters who provide infant feeding information and support to breastfeeding mothers in Wolverhampton, plus co-ordinates community engagement opportunities to increase participation and raise awareness of maternity services and infant feeding.

Ruth provides infant feeding support and information to mothers on our Maternity wards, and delivers infant feeding training packages to support her colleagues.

Poppy provides infant feeding support and information to mothers on our Maternity wards, and works closely with the Neonatal Unit to provide extra support to mothers.
