Donating your breast milk

Donating Your Breastmilk

How do I donate my breastmilk?

Donated breastmilk helps to save the lives of poorly and premature babies whose mothers are unable to provide their babies with enough of their own breastmilk.

Breastfeeding women, who have established breastfeeding their own baby, must enrol as a donor before baby is 4 months old, and then can continue to donate until baby is 6 months old.

To find out how to donate your breastmilk via a milk bank, visit the The Hearts Milk BankBirmingham Women's Hospital, or United Kingdom Association for Milk Banking websites.
