I graduated from London and had my registrar training in West Midlands and I joined the trust in 2013. My liver training was at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Whilst at Birmingham I undertook an MD looking at non-invasive markers of liver fibrosis including the use of transient elastography (Fibroscan). I am involved in research at local through to international levels and review papers for international journals as well as being widely published. I have clinical trials experience from inception though to their eventual publication. I teach and examine medical students from the University of Birmingham, and am involved in junior doctor teaching.
My sub-specialty interest is hepatology. This includes viral, auto-immune and metabolic liver disease as well as other forms of acute and chronic liver disease.
My endoscopic competencies are gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
