On our New Cross Hospital site we use a technology system called “SafeHands”.
The SafeHands system uses sensor technology to enhance patient safety and experience. Patients and staff wear badges containing sensors, which work by sending out invisible radio-frequency waves that are detected by receivers placed around the hospital.
This allows us to understand detail surrounding interactions, location and time:
We will use the digital information from the badge to monitor your progress during your stay, enhance your care and support patient flow throughout the hospital.
The SafeHands badge must be removed at the point of discharge and the data captured within SafeHands is kept in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations, 2018.
For more information about how your data is used, disclosed and managed, please see our privacy notice.
