Wolverhampton's ‘Virtual’ National Breastfeeding Week Event

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is hosting Wolverhampton's Virtual National Breastfeeding Week event on Friday, June 11th from 10am until 12.30pm as an online event via MS Teams.

This free online celebratory event is aimed at parents with young children, new mothers, pregnant women and their families, plus health professionals.

During the event there will be speeches from representatives of our Maternity Services, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Public Health team, plus music and singing.

There will also be a range of activities including Makaton signing for babies, yoga for new mothers, a mindfulness and relaxation session, baby massage, baby sensory play and readings by author Emma Rosen.

At the end of the event there will also be an opportunity for a ‘question and answer’ session between attendees of the event and a panel of representatives from the Maternity Services, Health Visiting, the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Public Health, Wolverhampton’s Maternity Voices Partnership and The Breastfeeding Network.
