Community Blood Tests

Community Blood Tests

Date of release: 5 October 2020

The traditional ‘walk in’ system for blood tests at community health centres has changed to an appointment only system.

The new appointment system enables us to see how many patients are booked, ensuring enough phlebotomists are on duty and helps support social distancing guidelines within our waiting areas.

Patients can book an appointment at a venue and time of their choice via https://www.royalwolverhampton.nhs.uk/communitybloodtests

They will need their NHS number and a mobile phone number to book. Confirmation of appointment is sent via SMS message.

Blood forms must be brought to the appointment and we are asking all patients to wear a face covering and support social distancing within our venues.

For patients without internet access a help line is available every day of the week, including weekends and bank holidays, between 8am and 10pm.

We encourage phoning outside of normal office hours as our lines tend to be quieter at these times. You will need your NHS number when phoning.  The help line number is 01902 442607.
