Local Artist Donates Skills to Raise Funds for Trust
Date of release: 30 June 2020
A local visual artist, currently studying at Wolverhampton University, has kindly donated her skills to help raise funds for The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
Charlotte Webb, 37 from Wolverhampton, created a range of electronic greeting card designs to suit any occasion with customers able to add personalised text. All of the money raised from card purchases will be donated to The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity.
People are able to purchase the cards to send to loved ones without having the need for any social contact, continuing to keep themselves, and others, safe.
There are also designs available to say 'thank you' to those who have helped during this crisis, and also designs to send to those who have been affected by the virus.
Charlotte said: ““I recently lost a friend who worked as a security officer at New Cross, and so sadly I do have a personal investment in this too.
“All of the cards in this collection have the same background presented slightly differently on each. The colours are meant to be symbolic of the rainbow that is associated with the community and it’s NHS throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Charlotte was also previously commissioned by the City of Wolverhampton Council to design some Wolverhampton based greetings cards for the Civic Centre canteen. These cards were available for staff and members of the public, with a locally designed selection of greetings for purchase.
Leanne Bood, Fundraising Coordinator, said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Charlotte on this project. We are very grateful for her support.”
To purchase one of Charlotte’s cards, you can look through the available designs on the CBW Fine Art and Illustrations website.
