Latest News: Generous donation of protective clothing to RWT

Wolves’ owners Fosun have made another generous donation of personal protective clothing (PPE) to The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust to help fight the Covid-19 outbreak. A total of 2,500 protection masks, 900 coveralls and 400 pairs of goggles arrived from China and were delivered to New Cross Hospital on Friday. All of the packages are branded with the partner and co-sponsor logos.


Latest News: Staff Member Stocking up Pop-up Shop

It was a scene to turn Nick Knowles from BBC1’s DIY SOS green with envy. In just 48 hours, the restaurant in the WMI was transformed into a pop-up shop selling essentials. The outlet, located in Building 11, is believed to be the first of its kind to open in the Midlands and is one of the successes of the Trust’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.


Latest News: Willenhall Donate £2000 Worth of Food to Trust

The Trust has benefitted from a generous donation of food and drink worth over £2,000 from the people of Willenhall. Trevor Dunn, owner of the Toll House restaurant in Walsall Street, Willenhall, had to close his premises because of the Covid-19 outbreak, so he decided to raise money for care workers and other key workers instead.


Latest News: Members of AMU Staff in Wobble Room

A ‘wobble room’ has been set up to support staff during the Covid-19 outbreak. With visitors not permitted on site, nurses and consultants are taking on additional roles dealing with patients on AMU, which can lead to an increase in stress in the job. Matrons Sam Jarvis and Charlotte Keates set up the room within AMU to help support staff.

Latest News: Video Produced to Help Recovering Cardiac Patients

Staff at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust have produced a helpful video for patients unable to attend rehab sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Wolverhampton & Cannock team have been working hard to produce materials and find resources for all their self-isolating patients.


Latest News: Free TV for Patients on Christmas Day

Patients in New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton can now watch free bedside television. Whilst restrictions are in place for visiting patients in our hospitals, and in recognition of the impact this could have on the wellbeing of patients, we have secured an agreement with TV providers Hospedia to give free TV to all inpatients for the next month.
