There was plenty of fun and laughter when ‘More Mascots Please’ visited the Children’s Ward at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. The Dudley based organisation visited with arms full of presents for the ward’s playroom and goodie bags for patients and their families.
The visit was made possible by Joanna Smith, Relationship Manager of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, as The RWT Charity and More Mascots Please are both active members of the Chamber.
Ceri Davies, founder of More Mascots Please, said; “Having experienced health problems myself I understand what some of the children are going through. If we can make even just one child smile, I know we’ve done our job”.
Leanne Bood, Fundraising Coordinator for The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, said: “Sincere thanks to both Joanna and Ceri for helping to arrange the visit. Our Charity works hard to provide positive experiences for patients and their families and the visit from Bobby Bear and Melanie was fantastic”
The aim of More Mascots Please is to make a difference to disabled, disadvantaged and terminally ill children across the Black Country. For further information, please visit www.moremascotsplease.co.uk
