Parking Charges to Increase at Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust

Parking charges at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT) are being increased by 10p in each payment band from 1st April 2014.

It means a £2.20 ticket will cost £2.30, a £3.20 ticket £3.30 and so on. Up to 15 minutes’ parking remains free.

There will be an increase of 50p on the concessionary rate for a seven-day ticket which will now cost £14.50, patients attending for renal dialysis receive free parking and patients visiting the hospital for cancer treatments will pay £1.50 for all-day parking, a 50p per day increase.

Graham Argent, Divisional Manager for Estates and Facilities, said: “Parking charges at New Cross Hospital cover the cost of maintenance and security services. We have recently opened the new multistorey car park and extended visitor car parking to enable the development of the New Emergency Centre.”
