Coronavirus: Appointments

If you have an appointment at our hospitals you should continue to attend this unless you are advised otherwise by us or you have a new continuous cough or a high temperature, in which case you should phone the number given in your appointment letter to check if you should attend.

If you are coming for an outpatient appointment or to the Emergency Department, please do not bring more than one person to accompany you and where possible please do not bring children with you.

NHS 111’s online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

Please continue to follow Public Health England advice to:

  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Cannock Phlebotomy Service

Cannock Phlebotomy Service is still open from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:45pm.

Pre-chemo patients should not wait in the waiting room but should come to level 2 opposite outpatients room 16/02 where they will be seen as quickly as possible to minimise risk.

Also in light of the Government guidelines regarding pregnant ladies we are suggesting that Cannock is a lower risk option for any patients willing to travel.
