This full day event is for students from school years 10 - 13 who would like to find out more about what a career in Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering really means.
Whether you’re interested in electronics, working with your hands, practical problem solving or working towards assisting patient’s treatment, you’re sure to find a role suitable for you within this specialty.
Attendees will hear informative talks on Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering; how to apply for a course and other career options that can be followed after qualification plus what job roles are available. You will also be able to get handson in testing medical devices used in a healthcare environment during one of the demonstration workshops.
In the afternoon, attendees will be given a tour around the specialist areas and workshops of the hospital; covering Heart & Lung, Nuclear Medicine, Renal and Radiotherapy. The day is finished off with a Q&A session for attendees to ask any thrilling questions to our panel!
