A warm welcome from everyone here at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust

Our new e-induction page allows you to complete certain mandatory training courses before you start with the Trust.

You do not have to complete all the packages in one sitting but please ensure these are completed at least a week before your placement starts.

If you have previously completed any of the courses below, please send your evidence to the Training Database Team.

Once you have completed a course, please ensure you click on RECORD RESULTS to enable you to complete the on line compliance form with the following information.

An email is sent to your email address with the details that you have completed the course. Please keep this email for your own records; you do not need to forward this to the training team.

If you do not pass, you will be given the option to retry the assessment.

Hand Hygiene

WHY? Hands are the main pathways of germ transmission during health care

WHO? Hand hygiene is therefore the most important measure to avoid the transmission of harmful germs and prevent health care-associated infections

HOW? Every member of staff must complete a face to face hand hygiene assessment, this is carried out on most wards or in the Wolverhampton Medical Institute (WMI) building 11

Wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol hand gel before and after patient contact 
You must have clean: short, unvarnished nails, without extensions
Your hands must be free from skin irritation with cuts covered
Your hands must be free from jewellery other than a plain band
You must be Bare below elbows with cuffs, watches and fitness trackers in pockets
Wash your hands before eating
Wash your hands after using the toilet
