Latest News: Hospital appeal for toiletry donations for vulnerable families

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity has teamed up with Funeral Partners in Bushbury to gather donations for vulnerable families and their newborns at New Cross Hospital.

We are asking people to donate brand new nappies, clothes, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other essentials for vulnerable mothers and their babies who are born at New Cross Hospital. To anyone wishing to donate clothing, we ask that it is new due to our infection prevention policy.

There are two Roy Quinton drop off points for the items:

It claims to be the world's most demanding one-day survival ordeal!

With cold weather still inevitable, 2020 will be a classic tough guy brutal course route with the country miles and the mighty killing fields obstacles. Enter now at the Tough Guy website.

The Chasewater Easter Egg 10k and 5k
Our Charity: Nice Work - Chasewater Christmas Pudding Dash 10K

Why not get your Easter Sunday off with a bounce at the Chasewater Easter Egg 10k and 5k?

Using the undulating paths and trails around Chasewater Reservoir, this race is a real running treat! Dress up as your favourite Easter character and take part in the either a 10k or 5k race. The event also includes a short children’s race.

There are seasonal goodies on offer plus a special Easter medal available to all finishers. There will also be prizes on offer for leading runners and age category winners.

Great Birmingham 10K
Our Charity: Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10k

Minimum Age: 15 years old and over

Entries for next year’s Great Birmingham 10k, on Sunday 31 May are now open. The event will be staged on an exciting new course incorporating the historic heart of Birmingham and world-famous heritage sites, starting near the much-loved Hippodrome theatre in Southside. Runners will be taken through the Jewellery Quarter and past the Mailbox before it reaches its grandstand finish at Victoria Square and Colmore Row.

Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon
Our Charity: Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon

Date: 4 July 2020
Entry Price: £30

The Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon is a unique point to point race along canal towpaths starting in Wolverhampton City Centre and finishing in Brindley Place in Birmingham. The race is run in a time trial format with runners starting in waves from 8:00 - 12:00 based on their predicted finish time. The conditions underfoot vary from gravel tracks and un-kept trails to smooth pavement.

Great Birmingham Run
