RWT Long Service Awards

Awards: Long Standing Awards and Charity Logo

The Long Service Awards were launched at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust in 2019 to recognise, acknowledge and congratulate some of the exemplary staff across the Trust. Members of staff receive awards for either 25, 30, 40 or 50 years of service, hard work and commitment to the NHS.

Due to the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19, we have been unable to host the 2019/20 and the 2020/21 awards as we would have hoped. We have recognised the achievements of recipients in a virtual format, with video contributions from Prof. David Loughton CBE, Chief Executive, and Alan Duffell, Chief People Officer.

A total of 341 members of dedicated staff were honoured with an award and as one of the top performing Trusts in the region, we recognise this is down to our staff.

After the most challenging year in the history of the NHS, we recognise the need to appreciate, nurture and reward our staff more than ever. Thank you to each and every one of our long-serving employees who go above and beyond for our patients and their fellow staff members to make the Trust the successful, vibrant organisation it is.

Welcome by David Loughton

50 Years of NHS Service

The following members of staff received the platinum award, the highest accolade, for more than 50 years’ NHS service – Neil Fox, Sue Johnson and Pat Bowen. We were deeply saddened that Pat passed away in January and we sent our condolences to her family, who were presented with her platinum award.

You can view the presentations of their awards by the Chief Executive and Chief People Officer and read their biographies below.
