5k Inflatable challenge in aid of Wolverhampton Neonatal Unit

Date of release: 10 August 2017

A team of friends and family have put themselves through a gruelling test to help the Neonatal Unit at Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital.

Team members Beverley Willis, Carol Wilson, Stephanie Wilson and Amy Willis all from Wolverhampton have been visiting The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, after successfully completing the 5k Inflatable Challenge at Dunstall Park in May, raising £800 to help the lifesaving work of the for the Neonatal Unit.

Beverly Willis said “We wanted to raise funds for the unit as they gave my niece’s baby a lot of support when she was born at 28 weeks, weighing a tiny 3lb 5oz. They also supported her sister when she was born prematurely – the unit means a lot to me and my family”.

Leanne Bood, Fundraising Co-ordinator at the Trust said “Our Charity can only provide the additional items that support patient care with support from the local community. Thank you to everyone that helped this team to raise such a wonderful amount”.
